Tantissima l’emozione per il primo evento dopo il lockdown, e chi se l’aspettava di poterlo fare così presto?! Con tutte le precauzioni e accortezze (prenotazioni, distanze, mascherine, sanificazioni…) ma si è fatto, un grande pomeriggio con tantissimi bambini, genitori, maestri, assessori, scrittori, musicisti, volontari, e la luna, anche la luna ci saluta. Un castello pieno di amici di un Prato di libri!

Ma.. cosa stavamo dicendo?
Ah ecco. Appunto.
Giulia. Il tempo passa veloce, così come le idee e i pensieri nella sua mente. Ormai è diventata grande e capisce che non le basta più leggere e chiacchierare. Vuole fare qualcosa di più, vuole offrire qualcosa a qualcuno. E’ per questo che decide di mettersi dalla parte dei bambini, con l’intento di regalare loro tante storie da leggere e ascoltare.
Come ha fatto? Ha iniziato a telefonare a destra e sinistra: – Senti, hai scritto un libro molto bello, ti andrebbe di venire a leggerlo ai bambini, a scuola? Hai scritto anche canzoni? Perfetto! Così ce le canti.
Ha parlato di quello stava mettendo in piedi con tante maestre. E si sa come funzionano le maestre: butti lì un’idea, un titolo, una frase e loro te la trasformano, e te la restituiscono a misura di bambino, con le loro bacchette magiche fatte di colori, carta, stoffa, bottoni, sassi…e tanta, tanta fantasia.
Un libro è diventato 10, 30, 70, 100 libri!
E Prato, la sua città, è diventata UN PRATO DI LIBRI
Quest’anno, purtroppo, un prato di libri ha dovuto rallentare la sua corsa per colpa del “virussino” un po’ stupido e tutto cretino, come dice Sergio Guastini.
Attenzione… rallentato, non fermato!
Giulia,infatti, in questi mesi ci ha tenuto compagnia attraverso la pagina fb e nella sua testa sono sempre frullate tante idee. Non vedeva l’ora di fare qualcosa, di ripartire.
Finalmente… eccoci qua!

She reads everything: the road signs, the ingredients of the recipes, the medicine leaflets, the car plates … even the saints on the calendar.
He reads everywhere: at home, in the garden, on the street … he can also read tree climbing.

Her head is full of messy curls, as are her ways too … one speech after another, a word that brings to mind a fact that tells you instantly and in that fact that is telling you weave another story.
But .. what were we saying?
Ah here. Exactly.
Giulia. Time passes quickly, as do the ideas and thoughts in her mind. By now she has grown up and understands that reading and chatting is no longer enough. She wants to do something more, she wants to offer something to someone. This is why she decides to put herself on the side of children, with the aim of giving them many stories to read and listen to.
How did he do? He started phoning left and right: – Listen, you wrote a very nice book, would you like to come and read it to the children, at school? Did you also write songs? Perfect! So you sing them.
She talked about what she was setting up with so many teachers. And you know how the teachers work: you throw an idea, a title, a sentence there and they transform it, and they return it to you as a child, with their magic wands made of colors, paper, fabric, buttons, stones … and lots and lots of imagination.

And Prato, her city, has become A MEADOW OF BOOKS
This year, unfortunately, a meadow of books has had to slow down her run because of the somewhat stupid and all foolish “virussino”, as Sergio Guastini says.

In fact, Giulia has kept us company in the last few months through the fb page and many ideas have always been mixed in her head. She could not wait to do something, to leave again.
Finally … here we are!

Arriva il carissimo amico, Stefano Bordiglioni, con i suoi libri, la sua inseparabile chitarra, tantissime rime e il grande Marco Versari. Scrittore, musicista e autore di divertenti canzoni e filastrocche per i più piccoli, ha saputo ricreare quell’atmosfera conivolgente che ha tenuto inchiodati e con la bocca aperta per lo stupore tutti i partecipanti.

The dear friend Stefano Bordiglioni arrives with his books, his inseparable guitar, many rhymes and the great Marco Versari. Writer, musician and author of funny songs and nursery rhymes for the little ones, he has been able to recreate that convivial atmosphere that has kept all the participants nailed and with their mouths open in amazement.

Roberto Parmeggiani, scrittore, educatore, e attualmente sindaco di Sasso Marconi, presenta l’inedito “Vessillo Rodariano”, la bandiera ispirata a Gianni Rodari e a Bruno Munari, che avrebbe aperto il cammino letterario fra Prato e Bologna lungo la Via della Lana e della Seta. In programma a marzo e rimandato al prossimo anno, il gemellaggio-cammino con la città emiliana avrebbe portato un Prato di libri alla Fiera internazionale del libro di Bologna.

E poi ecco che finalmente possiamo ammirare il “Vessillo Rodariano” ideato e realizzato dal creativo e brillante Fabio Giusti (di Trafi srl). Si è presentato come “uno che ha una fabbrica che fa cose creative e si è inventato un modo senza usare vernici matite pennelli, ma solo fibre di lana che stanno insieme con una diavoleria che ha messo in piedi praticamente apposta. Geniale!”
